1.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139:1-10 NKJV
2.
I would have lost heart, Unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart Psalm 27:13-14 NKJV
3.
Bless the Lord, O my soul And all that is within me Bless His holy name For as the heavens are high above the earth So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him As far as the east is from the west So far has He removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:1, 11-12 NKJV
4.
Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You My flesh and my heart fail But God is the strength of my heart And my portion forever Psalm 73:23-26 (NKJV)
5.
Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer From the end of the earth I will cry to You When my heart is overwhelmed Lead me to the rock that is higher than I For You have been a shelter for me A strong tower from the enemy I will abide in Your tabernacle forever I will trust in the shelter of Your wings Psalm 61:1-4 (NKJV)
6.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress My God, in Him I will trust Surely He shall deliver you, He shall cover you And under His wings you shall take refuge You shall not be afraid of the terror by night Psalm 91:1-5 NKJV
7.
Praise the Lord! Praise O servants of the Lord Praise the name of the Lord Blessed be the name of the Lord From this time forth and forevermore From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lords name is to be praised The Lord is high above all nations His glory above the heavens Who is like the Lord our God Who dwells on high Who humbles Himself to behold the things That are in the heavens and in the earth? Psalm 113:1-6 (NKJV)
8.
May he give you the desire of your heart And make all your plans succeed We will shout for joy when you are victorious And will lift up our banners in the name of our God May the Lord grant all your requests Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed He answers him from his holy heaven With the saving power of his right hand Some trust in chariots and some in horses But we trust in the name of the Lord our God Psalm 20:4-7 (NIV)
9.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me You know my sitting down and my rising up You understand my thought afar off You comprehend my path and my lying down And are acquainted with all my ways For there is not a word on my tongue But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether You have hedged me behind and before And laid Your hand upon me Such knowledge is too wonderful for me It is high, I cannot attain it Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there If I take the wings of the morning And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea Even there Your hand shall lead me And Your right hand shall hold me Psalm 139:1-10 (NKJV)
10.
But let all who take refuge in You rejoice Let them sing joyful praises forever Spread Your protection over them That all who love Your name may be filled with joy For You bless the godly, O LORD You surround them with Your shield of love Psalm 5:11-12 (NLT)
11.
Prelude 02:19
12.
Teach me, O LORD, the way of Thy statutes And I shall observe it to the end Give me understanding, that I may observe Thy law And keep it with all my heart Make me walk in the path of Thy commandments for I delight in it Incline my heart to Thy testimonies And not to dishonest gain Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity And revive me in Thy ways Psalm 119:33-37 (NASB)

about

Scripture Songs Volume Two is straight from the Psalms.

The first track, "You Are There" from Psalm 139, has some of the most meaningful verses I have ever memorized. I hope the same for you.

Putting Scripture to music has been one of the most rewarding projects I have undertaken and I am happy to make these available for you here.

If you join my email list at www.sherriyoungward.com, I send out occasional songs, invitations to live virtual events, and podcast episodes (I have a podcast called The Quiet Place).
